"An idol does not excite any feeling of veneration in me. But I think that idol-worship is part of human nature. We hanker after symbolism. Why should one be more composed in a church than elsewhere? Images are an aid to worship. No Hindu considers an image to be God. I do not consider idol-worship a sin".
The above statement was made by a Hindu worshiper which clearly portrays why they ignorantly worship images and not the Almighty Father God in heaven.
"'Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 26:1
"Therefore I poured out My wrath on them for the blood which they had shed on the land, because they had defiled it with their idols. Ezekiel 36:18
So while these nations feared the LORD, they also served their idols; their children likewise and their grandchildren, as their fathers did, so they do to this day. 2 Kings 17:41
"Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and have put right before their faces the stumbling block of their iniquity Should I be consulted by them at all? Ezekiel 14:3
They served idols, concerning which the LORD had said to them, "You shall not do this thing." 2 Kings 17:12
Their land has also been filled with idols; They worship the work of their hands, That which their fingers have made. Isaiah 2:8
"I will pronounce My judgments on them concerning all their wickedness, whereby they have forsaken Me and have offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands. Jeremiah 1:16
Jesus is the only true God, worthy to be worshiped; all other gods are idols and works of men to deceive and extort money from ignorant followers. Embrace Jesus today and your life will turn around for good.
